2026 Event Schedule

 

Our schedule starts Thursday with a rendezvous from San Rafael up the Highway 1 to Fort Bragg for lunch on your own. The rendezvous continues to the Historic Benbow Inn. Friday morning includes a tour up the Avenue of the Giants using the auto tour (follow signs along the route), then heading to Ferndale via the 101 and crossing the historic Fernbridge.  There will be a hospitality event Friday evening at 6:30 PM at Tuyas Mexican Restaurant.

 

Saturday Morning is the big event. Entries must be on the Field, Francis Street, by 09:45 to be in place by 10:00. The awards will be presented by the noon whistle or by 1230. Awards are chosen by the committee and the public. The entries should plan to clear out by 1430. A reception will be hosted at The Village Pub, formerly the Village Inn, at 1400. Following that will be the presentation of the 1995 film *Outbreak*. The movie was filmed in Ferndale and the Ferndale Repertory Theater was featured in the movie.

 

Sunday morning we will start at 8:00am with a Cars, Fire Engines, and Coffee at Enos Fire Solutions in Fernbridge. The rest of the day will be easy, featuring a walking Architecture tour with Pete Bansen and a drive to the Lost Coast Headlands, where you can see the famous hill slide that was in the news in 2025. A to be determined Good Bye dinner will be at 5:00pm to see everyone off after a great weekend in Ferndale.
